Broken Bike

So I got in a little accident while riding with lauren last week. we were biking back from city creek canyon via research park on our way home when a car took a left across backed up traffic. Basically i didnt even see the car turn in front of me, it was just there and i gave it a good dent in it's back right flank. We think i went over the top of the trunk? not really quite sure. basically as i skidded to a stop in the middle of the street i thought i was the luckiest girl in the world because i jumped up and proclaimed "i'm alright! i'm fine" to all of the shocked people standing at the bus stop who had just witnessed it. then i looked down at my wrist. not fine.

i guess i'm lucky it was just my wrist because this is the wreckage i left behind. poor lauren got to come upon the scene of the crime with her bike in two and her friends gory body in shock. thank you lauren for being the trama care taker.

could you imagine a worse ending to borrowing a friends bike besides breaking it in two?

ps, i don't think writing in all lower case is cute - my one hand is just incapable of keeping up with the demands of the shift key. you can expect my blogging and emailing grammar and spelling to sink to a new low.

Success in Seattle

So besides playing with them boys that I can't stop talking about - I did do some professional research while in Seattle. Job hunting to be exact and it went about as well as you could expect it would for a non-vital industry in the middle of a recession. Actually, it went mildly better than that, hopeful even.

While there I met with the most generous design blogger out there, Cassandra at Coco & Kelley, who gave me some great tips and insight on the industry in Seattle. Who knows, we may even end up working together a little.

Also met with some and sent emails and resumes to others of these beautimous architectural firms:

Any who, we'll see what happens, but if something works out I may be up adventuring in the Great North West in the near future. Hope you're all ready for some road trips!

Utah State Fair

The Utah State Fair and I have a long history starting from the early days of going to watch my parents in horse shows, to being in horse shows, to just going for the heck of a good time it always offers. It provides perhaps THE best people watching that Utah has to offer, not to mention the outstanding food, Demolition Derby, freak show (yes they do still have this and it IS disturbing), and the Big Yellow Slide just to name a few. This place holds true nostalgia for me and mostly just makes me proud to be an American - and a Utahn.

*props to Mandy for first off for being the best damn date a girl could ask for (besides a boy of course) and also for giving me access to the quality documentation that she made of the Fair

Boys Boys Boys

I've been spending lots of time with the boys in Seattle - fortunately/unfortunately they are all under the age of 6.

Charlie's first day of school - he looks so old in this photo! The boy's growing up.

Jack's first day of school (today) - he was so bummed when he found out he wasn't in Charlie's class, so sad.

Charlie's attitude Abercrombie and Fitch shot

Roger being beautiful

I love this picture, it looks like he's about to deck us for making him take all of these pictures

Today at the aquarium

I fit right in with the little kiddies - I don't know who was more excited about all the amazing fish, me or the boys
There are no pics of Liz and I because we have been horrible about getting the camera out this trip, but we are just the cutest little lesbo couple that Seattle's ever seen I'm sure. We each have a little boys hands in ours at all time and one has the baby in the sling and the other with the diaper bag. We're quite the sight to see
