Rest In Peace Max

Thanks Max for being such a good friend.
I know it sounds cliche` but he was the best friend I could ever ask for. Always always up for a hike whether for an afternoon or for a week long journey. He was loyal, patient, spontanious and so consistently there for me more than any human I have ever known. Now if I could only find all of these things in a guy I would really be set.

He was the slyest at ending up in your lap when you drove

Profile shot

He was also really sly at evading photos

Damn I miss you so much already - I love you dog.

Sorry Liz

I'm not going to take credit for the keen selection of Charlie's bracelets (because that was ALL him), but I do think I had some influence on the little fella, sorry Liz.

One in 8 Million

Came across this series of mini-documentaries on people living in New York. Love this one on Buster English. These little interviews highlight a random person living in the city each week which I love because one of the biggest things I miss about living in a big city, especially New York, are all of the characters that couldn't be more different from, which makes them all the more intriguing.

Labor Day 2009

This year instead of 3 days of back packing we're switching it up. What started as a plan to bike to St. George has morphed into biking to Lake Powell, but 300 miles is 300 miles right? right.

As always anyone/everyone's invited. And if your excuse is "I don't have a bike" - neither do I. Or if you're going with "I haven't done a lick of road biking all summer" - gotcha there again!

My answers to these problems are borrow and get going. Daily morning rides from my house to Big Cottonwood Canyon started this week. Planning to add a canyon ride a week in there as well. This week, Millcreek.

Come my friends it's time to start biking.
